Racism In Mental Health and Education: Confronting the Systems that Uphold Racist Practices In Place

Dr. Linda Lausell-Bryant
Dr. Linda is devoted to developing the leadership capacities of social workers to spark change at the intersection of race, ethnicity, and social justice. In 2020, she co-developed and implemented a Faculty Antiracism Training to strengthen skill in antiracist pedagogy, inclusive teaching and mentoring for all NYU Silver faculty.
Jessica Rizzo, LCSW
Jessica is a mother, licensed clinical social worker and entrepreneur dedicated to
promoting the healing process of transgenerational trauma in communities of color. Jessica’s
passion has guided her to train and mentor developing clinicians to understand the
intersectionality of their clinical wheelhouse and the cultural needs of the communities they
serve in efforts to maximize their impact.
Dr. Cindy Bautista-Thomas, PhD, LCSW, RYT
Cindy is a licensed clinical social worker, social work educator, podcast host, yoga instructor, mindfulness facilitator, author, mother, wife, master trainer and curator of spaces of healing, transformation, and impact. As co-founder of Velocity Visions, Inc Dr. Cindy provides dynamic personal and professional development services through experiential workshops in nonprofit, for profit, and government settings.

Justin Nai'im Hurdle-Price
To Be Young and Black In America
Justin started facilitating conflict resolution workshops for young people and adults at the age of 10. He has co-facilitated workshops in schools and for non-profits and at national conflict resolution conferences all over the country. He worked as a trainer coach for youth from all different backgrounds, helped design workshops for parents, teachers and young people.

He is also the co-host of "Working It Out, Across Generations", a TV show that focuses on bridging everyday gaps through multi-generational perspectives.
